Mythological Creatures

 

Dragons are probably the most popular and widely know creature that has appeared in many different cultures through out time. In all cultures a dragon is a powerful creature and is serpent like in appearance and for the most part has wings and legs.

                                                                

 

 

Griffins were a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine. A griffin has features from both a lion and an eagle having a lion's body and hind legs while having an eagle's fore legs and head. 

                                                                                                                            

 

Familiars are animal shaped spirits who serve magicians, more common familiars are cats, owls and dogs. Around the time of the Salem witch trials many witches were thought to posses familiars.

 

 

Homunculi are a human based being created through alchemy.

 

Vampires are undead creatures in the form of humans who suck the blood of animals as a source of food.

 

Werewolves are humans who are able to shape shift into a wolf like creature either by magic or a curse.

 

Unicorn is a creature similar to a horse but has a single horn (thought to have the power to neutralize any poison) on it's head, a lions tail, cloven hooves (split into two toes like a cow), and a billy-goat beard.

 

Phoenix are birds covered with red and gold feathers that are reborn at the end of their life span by building a nest and burning themselves along with it.
